The USCS Table of Contents (USTOC) file provides another option for online
statutory research. The file allows you to retrieve code sections by
navigating through the topics of the code under which the documents are
organized.
When you access the USTOC file, the first level of the outline
automatically appears. Each document contains a hierarchical outline with
descriptive headings for the statutory code and ultimately a list of code
sections. Use the <LINK> markers, provided in the document, to move
through the different levels of the outline.
You can also use the USTOC file to quickly find terms specific to the
United States Code and then use those terms to develop a full text search.

UNITED STATES PUBLIC LAWS (PUBLAW)
The PUBLAW file contains the full text of all Public Laws enacted during a
session of congress. The Public Law is available soon after enactment.
Coverage begins with the 100th Congress, 2nd Session (1988).
UNITED STATES CODE ARCHIVE (USARCH)
A statutes archive for the United States Code Service is available in the
CODES library in the USARCH file. Coverage begins with the 102nd Congress,
2nd Session (1992). Once the USARCH file has been entered, a document
automatically displays that provides <LINK> markers allowing you to select
the year(s) of the code you want to search.
FEDERAL BILL TRACKING (BLTRCK)
The BLTRCK file allows you to monitor the status of legislation pending in
the current session of Congress. The file contains a document for each
bill introduced in the legislature and provides a chronology of the bill's
activity. A synopsis of the bill is also provided in the document.
FEDERAL BILL TEXT (USTEXT)
The USTEXT file contains the full text of all published versions of bills
pending in the current session of Congress. With this file you can review
the full text of proposed legislation as it makes its way through the
legislature.
USCS POPULAR NAME TABLE (USNAME)
The USNAME file contains the names of enacted Acts along with their Public
Law number and a general classification to the Code. Almost every act of
Congress has a provision stating how the act should be cited, i.e., 'The
Glass Ceiling Act of 1991'.
USCS STATUTES AT LARGE TABLE (USSALT)
The USSALT file lists Public Laws in numerical order according to their
date of enactment, subdivided by the enacting Congresses. It shows which
volumes of the Statutes at Large (the official chronological collection of
all laws passed by Congress) contain them. The table indicates the
disposition of every Public Law provision as to its place in or exclusion
from the United States Code.
USCS REVISED TITLE TABLE (USREVT)
The USREVT file contains parallel reference tables for each title that has
undergone revision, renumbering and enactment into positive law. The table
shows where former sections of the revised Title have been incorporated in
USCS.

@ 167g. Prosecution and punishment of offenses in Library buildings and grounds
Whoever violates any provision of sections 2 to 6, inclusive, of this Act [2
USCS @@ 167a-167e], or of any regulation prescribed under section 7 of this
[2 USCS @ 167f], commits a Class B misdemeanor, prosecution for such
offenses to be had in the Municipal Court for the District of Columbia [Superior
Court of the District of Columbia] upon information by the United States
attorney or any of his assistants: Provided, That in any case where, in the
commission of any such offense, public property is damaged in an amount
exceeding $ 100, the person commits a Class D felony.

HISTORY; ANCILLARY LAWS AND DIRECTIVES
Explanatory notes:
The bracketed words "Superior Court of the District of Columbia" were
inserted on the authority of Act July 29, 1970, P.L. 91-358, 84 Stat.
473, which redesignated the District of Columbia Court of General Sessions as
the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, effective "the first day of the
seventh calendar month which begins after July 29, 1970". Previously, Act April
1, 1942, ch 207, @@ 1, 4, 56 Stat. 190, 192 consolidated into a single
court all powers and functions of the Police Court of the District of Columbia
and the Municipal Court of the District of Columbia, and Acts Oct. 23, 1962,
P.L. 87-873, @ 1, 76 Stat. 1171 and July 8, 1963, P.L. 88-60,
@ 1, 77 Stat. 77 both redesignated the "Municipal Court for the District
of Columbia" as the "District of Columbia Court of General Sessions".
Amendments:
1990. Act Nov. 15, 1990 substituted "commits a Class B misdemeanor," for "shall
be fined not more than $ 100 or imprisoned not more than sixty days, or both,"
and substituted "the person commits a Class D felony." for "the period of
imprisonment for the offense may be not more than five years.".
