The LEXIS® Case Law SignalThe LEXIS® Case Law Signal is integrated into case law documents and provides an immediate indication of the precedential value of a particular case. The Signal is based on the Shepard's® and Auto-Cite® analysis codes. When these codes are present, one of the following four Signals displays. Not every case will have a Signal.

Links to Shepard's, Auto-Cite, or both (depending on the service or services from which the Signal was generated) may also be included with the signal. You can use these links to easily Shepardize® the document or check it with the Auto-Cite service. |
