History is divided into Unopened Results, Recent Results, and Archived Activity. History generally displays your searches in reverse-chronological order, with your most recent search at the top of the list. However you can change the order through "Sort" or by clicking the Preferences button in the top navigation bar and selecting another option.

The Unopened Results History tab displays information about documents your search retrieved but you have not yet viewed. Your unopened results are available for 25 days from the day of your search request. After you have viewed your results, they are available from the Recent Results tab.

In History, identifying information about each search appears in adjacent columns. You can set filters or sort your results by date or client ID to more quickly find a search.

If the History screen is empty, you have submitted no searches within the specified time frame or, if a client ID filter has been applied, no searches were found for that client ID.

Viewing Unopened Results

    Viewing Archived Activity

    The "Archived Activity" tab displays information about your previous 29 days of LexisNexis® searches. After 29 days, a search expires and is removed from the archive.

      Filtering Your History

      Filter your activities by a specific date, a date range, or client IDs if available, so that you can find specific activities in History more quickly.

      For initial setup, click the "Set Filter" link and:

      • Choose at least one client ID,
        
        
      • Select a date, OR
        
        
      • Select a date range

      After clicking the Apply Filter button, only the activities that match your Filter selections appear.

      You can choose multiple client IDs, for example, by pressing the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and clicking on individual client IDs. Or, by pressing the "Shift" key while clicking the mouse you can select a range of client IDs. Parentheses to the right of each client ID specifies how many activities have been performed for each.

      Note:  If client ID doesn't appear and you would like History to display it, click the Preferences button in the top navigation bar and select "Show Client ID" on the form.

      After initial setup, you can turn the filter on or off at any time. To change the filter settings, click the "Filter" link. Filtering occurs across all of your history (Unopened Results, Recent Results, and Archived Activity).

      Sorting Your History

      Sort your activities by clicking the Client ID or Date button. A gray arrow on the button indicates which sort feature of two is active and the direction of the sort.

      For Client ID, sort in ascending or descending order. For date, sort in chronological (most recent activity last) or reverse chronological order (most recent activity first).

      Note:  Sorting occurs across all of your history (Unopened Results, Recent Results, and Archived Activity).

      Viewing Printable History

      To view and print your activities without graphics, click the View Printable History link in the right hand corner of the screen. Use the browser features to print.

      Printable History honors any sorting and filters that have been set. Unless a filter is applied, all activities from Recent Results and Archived Activity are displayed and printable.
