Managing Your Delivery Jobs

Delivery Manager displays the status of your active and archived delivery jobs from both LexisNexis® research services at lexis.com® and the classic LexisNexis research software. From the Total Active Jobs or Delivery Archive screens:

• View your active and archived delivery jobs.
  
• Cancel jobs. (Total Active Jobs screen only.)
  
• Check the status of, restart, or print a test page to a LexisNexis Printer.
  
• Edit and resend jobs to other available delivery methods, as well as defer or release a deferral to a LexisNexis printer.

Working with Your Active Jobs

The Total Active Jobs screen appears on the Delivery Archive page. If you are currently on the Delivery Archive page, click the Total Active Jobs link at the top to switch screens.

Below are the options available to you:

• View information about your active jobs currently in the queue, including:
  • The name of the document.
  • The source or service you used.
  • The delivery method you chose.
  • The status of each job.
  • The approximate number of lines in each document.
  • The date and time you initially submitted the delivery request.
    
    
• Update the status of your active jobs. Click the Update button to refresh the screen, adding new jobs in the queue and removing those that are completed or canceled.
  
  
• Cancel active jobs. Select the check box next to the job and click the Cancel Jobs button.
  
  
• Check the status of your dedicated LexisNexis printer jobs. Click the LN Printer Status...button to access this information.
  
  
• Edit delivery jobs. Click the active links under Destination to access the Edit Delivery screen.
  
  

Working with Your Archived Jobs

If you are currently on the Total Active Jobs screen, click the Delivery Archive link at the top to switch screens.

The Delivery Archive screen displays much of the same information as the Total Active Jobs screen above, however please note the following differences:

• Clicking the Update button adds jobs that have recently been canceled or completed and removes jobs that have been archived for 72 hours.
  
  
• There is no Cancel button.
  
  
• Editing and resending a canceled job will incur a billing charge.
  
  

Checking the Status of a LexisNexis® Printer

Click the LN Printer Status button on the Total Active Jobs or Delivery Archive screen to access the LexisNexis Printer Status screen. The following options are available to you:

• Check the status of the LexisNexis printers available to you.
  
  
• Click the active Restart link to restart a printer.
  
  
• Click the active Test link to request a test page be printed to a dedicated LexisNexis printer available to you.
  
  
• Click Done to return to the Total Active Jobs screen.
  
  

Printing a Test Page

You can print 2-page (short) or 10-page (long) test pages from the Test LN Printer screen. Click Done to print the pages or click Cancel to return to the LexisNexis Printer Status screen.

Note:  Printing a test page does not incur a charge.

Changing Your Delivery Method

Access the Edit Delivery screen from the Total Active Jobs or Delivery Archive screen. (Click any of the active links under the Destination column.) The following options are available to you:

• Edit your delivery method.
  
  
• Resend a job via a dedicated LexisNexis printer (if one is available for your ID), a fax, or an email. Resending a job as a download or to an attached printer is currently not available. Click Done to send your delivery request.
  
  Note:  Resending a canceled job will incur a billing charge.
  
  
• If you select a LexisNexis printer, you can also defer a job for a specified amount of time or release a job that has previously been deferred.
  
  
• Click Cancel to return to the Total Active Jobs screen without changing or resending your delivery request.
