Selecting Shepard's ® Display Options Tutorial - Textual Version.

This tutorial explains how to select display options for your Shepard's ® report. It begins with the Shepard's report for McNeil v Economic Labarotory, Inc. (800 F.2d 111).

The Shepard's ® Display Options, available by selecting the "Display Options" link at the top of the report, let you customize the report so it shows only the information you need most.

For example, if you don't need pinpoint page references, you can hide them - just select the display option to check or un-check it. The Display Options also show or hide hide LexisNexis ® Headnotes references for the case you Shepardized ® , citing reference signals, which provide the signal value of the citing cases and headnote references for the publisher you Shepardized ® .

Other links in the report let you control the display of the Shepard's Summary, Prior History, and Subsequent History.

You can also easily switch between the KWIC ™ and FULL report views by selecting one of the "View" links at the top of the report.

You can choose default display settings (for example, All Negative or All Positive) for the report at the Shepard's Preferences form. To display that form, select the "Preferences" link.
